Properties and Uses

Gentian violet is a disinfectant against gram positive bacteria

and especially against the Staphylococcus, also against some

pathogen as Candida Albicans.

It is inactive against acid resistance bacteria or spores.

Gentian violet is an excellent treatment for Candida Albicans,

Candida Albicans is a fungus which may cause an infection of skin

and/or mucous membranes.

In young children, this yeast may cause white patches in the mouth (thrushes).

When the nursing mother has a Candidal infection of the nipple,

she may experience severe nipple pain.

Directions of Use

Apply a small quantity (by a stick of cotton) over infected area

twice-a-day for 3 days, or as directed by the physician.

For Nipple infection by Candida Albicans

Apply a small quantity (by a stick of cotton) over infected area

one-a-day (after nursing) for 3 days

Side Effects

Local Sensation of irritation or itching

Warnings

Avoid contact with eyes

Do not apply on affected skin

Be careful because the solution dyes clothes
